Mobile checks

Vibration Test

Tap a button to see whether your phone vibrates. Some phones and browsers do not offer vibration to websites.

Checking support…

A browser reporting no vibration support does not mean the motor is broken.

Understanding the result

A felt pulse confirms that the browser accepted a vibration request and the device responded. The on-page message alone cannot confirm physical movement.

How to use this tool

  1. Use a phone with vibration enabled.
  2. Try the short pulse first.
  3. Try the pattern if the first pulse works.

Troubleshooting

  • Use a supported phone, enable vibration, and interact with the page before trying a pattern.
  • Turn off battery-saving or silent-mode restrictions if the browser accepts the request but the phone does not move.

Browser and device limitations

Many browsers and nearly all desktop devices do not expose web vibration. Intensity is not measurable or adjustable through this test.

Common questions

Why does nothing happen?

Check silent or vibration settings, then try a supported browser. Some devices ignore web vibration requests.

Will this work on a laptop?

Most laptops do not have a vibration motor accessible to the browser.

Why does the page say the request was sent?

The Vibration API does not report whether the motor physically moved, only whether the request could be made.
